Abstract of lecture

Dental lasers were up until recently considered as an expensive and exotic piece of technology. Large improvements in science and technology made lasers more affordable and available so many dentists are starting to discover the exciting world of laser dentistry. Dental industry is often advertising lasers as a mighty piece of equipment used for a variety of treatments like endodontics, periodontics, soft tissue surgery, implantology, etc. But, where are the limits? How can we clinically benefit from diode lasers? What are the differences between various devices? Are there any news in the world of diode lasers and which treatments can be further improved with them? All this and more will be discussed in a 45-60 minutes lecture by Dr. Katalinic.
