Walter Dias is a prosthodontist with focus on adhesive and composite artistry. Originally from Brazil, having lived and worked 9 year in the USA; a Master’s of Science in Operative Dentistry at the University of North Carolina and vast clinical experience, Dr. Dias has over 40 publication and research abstracts, more than 400 presentations in more than 50 countries on themes as diverse as direct and indirect composite dentistry, impression material techniques, dental anatomy, photography and presentation skills. Fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and German, Dr. Dias offers lectures around the globe on those five languages and lives currently in the beautiful city of Konstanz in Germany. Dr. Dias has contributed extensively to product research and development in the dental industry, having work as the leading research clinician on more than 40 top-notch products like Prime and Bond XP, Prime and Bond Active, Calibra Universal, Aquasil Ultra, SDR Flow, Esthet.X HD, TPH 3, Ceram.x Mono, ceram.x universal and ceram.x duo SphereTEC.

Abstract of lecture

There are many ways to implement a 3D scanner and CAD/CAM system in common practice and in the daily routine. The Cerec system defined a new era of dentistry more than 40 years ago. However, since then, the supply of materials has changed, computers, software have developed, and our experience has brought fundamental changes to our work. Each dentist has a different experience and approach. However, it is possible to find a suitable path for everyone.

1997 – medical school in Karlovy Vary, the scope of the dental technician

2005 – Charles University Faculty of Medicine – Dentistry

After graduating from the Charles University, he worked as a specialist in ceramic restorations and CAD/CAM on the Asklepion clinic in Prague and Karlovy Vary. Now the owner of ONE VISIT DENTISTRY s.r.o., one of the most modern equipped surgeries in the world. 8 CAD/CAM milling machines, 7 3D printers, 7 IO scanners, 3D microscope…. Etc. He is a trainer of CAD/CAM system CEREC. Member of the International Society of Computerised Dentistry ISCD. Trainer T-Scan technology for digital occlusal analysis. Lecturer and opinion leader of Ivoclar for composite materials, adhesive systems, bonding materials, ceramic restorations and CAD/CAM. So far his lecturing is available in 22 countries.
